Malcolm & Val Braithwaite’s TF was voted BEST CAR of the day on the Route 75 Run organised
by Heckmondwike Rotary Club, although this is not an MG event many Centre

Saturday 18th August 2007
Geoffrey Wilson invited
centre members to a birthday party held in his orchard on the 18th
August; Geoffrey was not the birthday boy but his beloved MGVA tourer, which
had been first registered in 1937, 70 years to the day. Acquired by Geoffrey
in 1953 with only 3000 miles on the clock now 200,000 miles later it looked
resplendent parked in the courtyard adorned with balloons and banners.

Chilly Willy Run
(organised by South Yorkshire)
Andrew Murfin’s chilly willy
run on January 1st was a pleasurable excuse to get the F out and
blow away all the cobwebs that one acquires over the holiday period even if
the hood did stay up, the only reason Sharon & Pete had their hood down was
that they had so many clothes on they could not get in the car otherwise!

December 2006 Natter
December natter evening when mince pies, fruit cake, nibbles and
Patricia’s famous strawberry and chocolate muffins were in abundance, all of
them quickly devoured by the 36 members who attended. An excellent turnout
so close to Christmas.
