An excellent slide show and talk of motoring through the ages was presented by Alan French in March, the pictures were all taken by Alan in the UK and abroad including Alaska and Egypt, some dating back to the mid ‘60s. Alan advised us of the origins of the names of some of our most famous marques - hands up, who knew that Lagonda took it’s name from a North American river?

June 7^th sees the return to Thrybergh Country park of the Camping weekend and there is still time to book in.

We receive reports and pictures on a regular basis from Bob & Lynne Douglas enjoying their journey from South America to Alaska in their 60 year old TC and have set up a section of the website for everyone to see the latest news of their progress. To read Bob and Lynne's TC Adventures click here

WINTER WALK - 3RD FEBRUARY 2008

The Winter walk held in February continued to be one of our most popular events. This time John & Debbie tested us with a 5 ½ mile route in the Peak District that was a little more strenuous than past years with gradients to climb, rocks to scramble over and streams to cross, a bit like one of David’s Daffodil Runs but without the MG. The huge feature breakfast was taken at Grindleford Station Café and kept us going through the course and in fact for most of the rest of the day as well. The whole day was a great success, thanks to John & Debbie who are promising (threatening?) to test us a little more next time.

As in previous years South Yorkshire natter is working its way though the various cuisine of the world, this year it is food from the American Continent.   Damon's specialise in cuisine from the American Continent, with dishes ranging from award winning barbecue ribs and their specialty onion loaf to fine steaks, quality seafood, sizzling fajitas,  and much more.

Boxing Day

Pete & Sharon’s Boxing Day Run to Scarborough was enjoyed by all those who went and saw the annual raft races in the harbour. The participants were all in fancy dress and after a single lap of the harbour joined in a free for all, finishing with everyone dunked in the water.

Starting with breakfast at Sandall Park Café Doncaster - then a scenic drive to Normanby Hall Country Park, Scunthorpe. The weather was not at its best with rain showers most of the day. On arriving at Normanby Hall they kindly let us use one of their education rooms to eat our BBQ food.
