DAFFODIL RUN - Sunday 4th April 2010 (Easter Sunday)

Starting from Clifton Moor Retail Park York for a tour around the Howardian Hills, finishing at Shipton-by-Beningborough
where tea and scones will be served in the Pullman Carriages at the Sidings Restaurant.

Due to the great response to this event we have now managed to secure more hotel rooms. Booking deadline is now extended until 30th November 2009. Entry Form.

Social Weekend 16th to 18th April 2010
Organised by East Yorkshire Natter

For April 2010, to create new interest for the regulars and attract newcomers, we have decided to venture further away. A great package has been agreed with the Morritt Arms hotel near Barnard Castle and some interesting and challenging routes in Teesdale and Yorkshire Dales area already starting to take place.

April 2010 may seem far away just now but block bookings of ideal venues have to be made well in advance so early commitment will be needed to secure your place.

The event will start with a run to the hotel from York starting about 10.00am on Friday 16th April 2010. There will be no problem if you wish to join in later, perhaps at the lunch stop or at the hotel in the evening. For the Saturday, the hotel is ideally situated to explore upper Teesdale and parts of Weardale before crossing the hilltops to tour Swaledale. Sunday is likely to be spent in the central area of the Dales before heading back towards York for the closing lunch.

We have been able to keep the price at £345 per couple for the whole weekend, representing great value for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast, Sunday lunch and three road books. To reserve your place please reply as soon as possible at the latest by 30th November 2009 using the Entry Form. Rooms may not be available for bookings received after this date. We only need £25 deposit now but full payment must be made by 31st January 2010.

“Relive Roy Locock’s epic 39,000 miles Around the World Journey in Bridget, his 1977 MG Midget!

MG Car Club member Roy Locock successfully completed a 39,000 miles around the World trip in his MG Midget, affectionately named Bridget. Happy-co-lucky Roy survived earthquakes, waded through floods in Australia and Dodged Taliban bullets in Pakistan.

Now Roy is taking Bridget on the road, this time on a UK tour, and he’s coming to your Local MG Car Club centre!

WOLDSWAY RUN - 9th May 2010
(Organised by East Yorkshire)

We are now in the fifteenth year of this popular and successful touring event, and once again we have a new and interesting route. We are inviting entries from all makes of classic and sport cars, as well as M.G.s.

Once again the event will be supporting the charity Yorkshire Cancer Research and as before a presentation will be made on the day.

Entry to the event is open to all M.G.s. of any age, plus any classic or sports car. If you have entered the event before, we promise you the same high standard of organisation, if it’s your first time, then we look forward to meeting you.

Le Mans 24hrs Race - weekend of 12th - 13th June 2010
A number of Yorkshire Centre members are going to the Le Mans 24hr Race

We shall be camping in Houx Annexe - now proper camping plots 7m X 5m

The price for Camping & Race Tickets is £110 pp plus your ferry charges.
