East Yorkshire     is held on the 2nd Thursday of the month.

The North Yorkshire Moors social weekend, based at The Lodge Malton, attracted 10 cars and 18 members. The runs, Friday by Derek & Christine Tucker, Saturday by Dave & Pauline Carey and Sunday by Harry and Janet Hotchkin were superb as ever finding ever more “new” roads and routes.

The weather was warm and sunny as was the hospitality at the Lodge and a farewell lunch at the Three Pots at Stamford Bridge.

For our next event there are currently 100 cars booked for the 14th Wolds Way run on the 10th May.

Sports and Classic Car Show 3rd to 5th July 2009 at Sledmere House, Nr Driffield, East Yorkshire. The weekend opens with the Tour of the Wolds Social Run on Saturday. On the evening is a social gathering with a communal barbecue followed by entertainment in the marquee. Sunday is the day of the show with an autotest, concours, pride of ownership, trade stalls, car clubs and musical entertainment.

East Yorkshire

is held on the 1st Thursday of the Month

They say records are there to be broken.  Fourteen cars and 24 people is a new record for a Lunch in the Country event.  That was the role call that almost overwhelmed the tiny World Peace Café at Kilnwick Percy on a chilly but sunny April 16.  However, they coped and served up tasty soup and bowls of korma.  Highlight of the day was a presentation to Andrew Murfin of a specially commissioned oil painting of his TD in appreciation of his organisation of a trip to the Circuit des Ardennes in Belgium for nine MGs last July.

June 25th is the next Lunch in the Country, the venue is Sewerby Hall.  Meet at Langlands Garden Centre, Shiptonthorpe (A1079/A614) at 10.30am or Fimber car park/picnic area just to the south of Fimber roundabout on the B1248 at 11.15am for 12noon.

In July we have arranged for lunch at the Fleece Inn, Bishop Wilton.  See July Safety Fast for details.

Tiger Natter, Lairgate, Beverley every 1st Thursday 12.00 noon
