Inter-natter Pride of Ownership
16th May 2006
The second inter-natter
Pride of Ownership to be held at Gildersome on the 16th May looked doubtful
with the weather very unpredictable after heavy rain during the afternoon
and early evening, but it did not deter the 25 entrants many who arrived
with hoods down in their A’s B’s C’s F’s RV8’s TD’s Midgets Magnets ZR’s &
ZT’s along with the12 motor cyclists belonging to the Norton and the Arial
& Matchless Owners Clubs who where our invited guests for the evening.
Alistair Naylor attended as
there was a raffle, as did Martin Wise (MG Enthusiast Magazine).
The carpark was overflowing
with motor cycles, MG’s and more than 60 people filling out score sheets.
The Stewardess Jill provided
a cholesterol free supper of Pie & Peas accompanied with chips and dripping
and bread as she had been informed that members of South Yorkshire would be
attending.
The award’s for the
Pride of Ownership where as follows
MG's
1st place Anthony Ward 1959 MGA 1600 Roadster in Iris
Blue (York)
2nd
place Jeff & Kate Marsden 1953 TD (North Yorkshire)
3rd
placed Carols RV8 (West Yorkshire)
Motor

Thanks to Pauline, Eileen,
Sharon, Janice & Liz for helping Carol with the raffle and all who attended
in making an enjoyable evening
Next year the event may move
to Keith Ainley’s garden as this is the second year his shy Frog Eye Sprite
has stopped en-route I believe Keith and the AA man now exchange Christmas
cards.
