Each member of the MG Car Club belongs to one of the club's 13 geographically based regional Centres that aim to bring together local MG enthusiasts so that they can participate in locally organised events.

The Yorkshire Centre's remit is to cover the interests of members in Yorkshire. Due to the vagarities of geography we find that some of our members come from the surrounding counties while others from Yorkshire may belong to adjoining centres.

We have four evening natters which are conveniently in North, South, East and West Yorkshire. The fifth natter is held at lunchtime in Beverley and caters for those members who are free at this time. In general, though, members tend to attend the  natter or natters most convenient to them.  We find that this arrangement allows most of our active members to meet each other at the various events held within the centre each year.

The Yorkshire Centre has a centre committee, elected at the Yorkshire Centre Annual General Meeting, of a dozen or so members who meet five or six times a year to co-ordinate the centre activities. It is not the committee’s task to organise everything by themselves. The centre events are run by members like yourselves but do not feel that you will be pressed into this task. The centre organises a number of events throughout the year where we can use our MGs or meet socially. Our Calendar lists the major  forthcoming events.

Your first contact with the Centre may well be at one of our monthly "Natters", these are pub gatherings where you can meet local members socially. Attendances at these informal meetings vary from just a few to forty or so enthusiasts.

If you require further information please e-mail Cliff at

We appreciate that entering your first event or attending your first natter may be a rather daunting prospect but we strive to be as friendly as possible so give the organiser a call; tell him that you are new to all this, and he or she will help you.

Our busy calendar of events is kept up-to-date on these pages. Forthcoming Events. The major planned Yorkshire Centre events are published in the annual Safety Fast! pull-out Calendar. These, and further events, also appear in the Forthcoming Events page of Safety Fast!

I look forward to meeting you personally at one or other of our events.
